Patients also should expect to wear a support bra after the procedure and should sleep on their back after surgery to avoid putting pressure on their breasts.
Body Liposuction
Liposuction is not a weight loss tool, but it is a great option for those patients wanting to slim and reshape their body after weight loss. Dr. Alqulali offers Lipo 360, a liposuction procedure that can be used on both the front and back of the body to remove stubborn, exercise and diet-resistant fat. The procedure can be performed on many areas of the body, but is typically performed on the thighs and abdomen.
Liposuction removes unwanted, excess fat deposits by using a small wand made up of tiny tubes. These tubes suction away fat, resulting in a more shapely result. After the liposuction procedure, patients will be restricted from exercise and other activity for several weeks. Many patients return to work within 1 to 2 weeks of the liposuction procedure. Patients can expect to wear a compression garment after their procedure for 4 to 6 weeks.
The results of the liposuction procedure are more predictable than noninvasive cosmetic treatments. Patients will see their new shape quickly, and results of the procedure are permanent if the patient does not gain a significant amount of weight.
Patients may choose to have the fat that has been removed through liposuction injected into another part of their body as a fat graft procedure. Fat can be injected into the face, breasts, and even the buttocks (also known as the Brazilian Butt Lift) to lift, refine, and reshape as an alternative to cosmetic surgery procedures.
Facial Surgery
As we age, our facial fat volume decreases. This causes the skin to sag and hangs loosely off the face. We also experience more wrinkles because of a decrease in the proteins, collagen, and elastin, which are vital to the skin’s ability to stretch and retract.
